At times I have been an enthusiastic and regular blogger of my travels, updating with photos and stories every day. At other times and for various reasons I have been conspicuously absent from these pages. Not for lack of travelling though. This morning Facebook reminded me that 5 years ago today we were on our way from Doha to Munich to begin a week-long Danube River cruise, and since we’re not going anywhere for the foreseeable future, I’m going to pretend we’re back on the river and blogging regularly.

For a taste of what’s to come, here is the itinerary of our trip. The cruise went from Passau in Germany to Budapest, Hungary. We had a couple of days in Munch at the start, and added a few days in Budapest at the end of the cruise. We loved every minute of this trip, and are looking forward to another river cruise … one day.
