If you are a regular reader of this blog, you might have noticed some rather esoteric titles appearing recently. They are relevant to the content, though the connection might not be immediately obvious – have fun figuring out what inspired me. Today’s might be the most obscure of all.
Hamilton Gardens
Hamilton Gardens is a collection of story‑based gardens inspired by different cultures, time periods, and ideas, in (currently) 17 enclosed themed gardens – one more is due to open any day now. Though we were there in mid-winter, there was still plenty of colour and lots to see. We enjoyed a slow amble throughout the gardens, listening to the audio guide which helped draw out details of the history, architecture and design of each garden. I’ll let the pictures tell the story. I have limited myself to 2 photos for each garden, which just gives you a sneak peek. Needless to say, we took a lot more!
More Street Art
After leaving the gardens we still had time before returning our rental car to explore a little further to find some more of the fabulous street art throughout Hamilton city. Some of it is hard to photograph because it is in narrow alleyways, or obscured by parked cars, but we tried.
