After more than a year of planning, booking and anticipating, tomorrow we are heading to Japan for a month! We fly to Tokyo for 5 nights, then head to Kawaguchiko and Matsumoto for 2 days each. From there we head back to Tokyo to hop on the Coral Geographer for a 14 day cruise visiting Shimizu, Shingu, Osaka, Shodoshima, Hiroshima & Miyajima, Matsuyama, Moji, Tsushima, Sasebo, Fukue, Goto Islands including a day on Jeju Island, South Korea. After the cruise we will spend 2 nights in Fukuoka and 5 nights in Kyoto before heading home.
Most of those places are just names to me so far, but I am so looking forward to learning and experiencing a new country. My intention is to try to blog each day, or at least most days, so if you are keen to follow along, this is the place. This sounds like an amazing trip…I’d be keen to know what cruise line you’re cruising with. I can’t wait to read all about these strange and I’m sure wonderful places.
Have a great trip 😁
Thanks! The cruise line is Coral Expeditions https://www.coralexpeditions.com/. This is actually their last Japan cruise but they have some amazing destinations. We love the small size of the ships.
